Where is the “Fake News” When You Need It?Come on, CNN…is this the best you can do?By Ric Wasley May 22, 2017Oh, come on, CNN… is this the best you can do? Really?!!! Yesterday, a friend mentioned this to me in passing and I, of course, thought he was putting me on. So I just laughed and said, “Yeah - that’s how bad the media has gotten.” And concluded that he had probably just seen a sample of SLN skit lampooning Trump. But he insisted it was a real story. So this morning I looked it up and sure enough, here it was on CNN. Headlines and footage of the outrageous constitutional crisis that threatens to throw the Republic into chaos and wind up with children starving in the street…And here is the direct quote for this prime example fearless investigative journalism:
"Trump takes two scoops of ice cream with his chocolate cream pie, TIME reported, while everyone else around the table gets just one.”
People, there are actually individuals who call themselves ‘news reporters’ and ‘journalists’ who get paid real money for doing this. And this is what they think we are interested in? Hey CNN and Time, et al…there are real stories with real news that real people with more than half of their cerebrum available to them just might think is a bit more important than the president having another scoop of ice cream. If this is what the mainstream media has degenerated into, then I say bring on the “fake news”. Just make it interesting! http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/11/politics/trump-time-magazine-ice-cream/
